Our success story starts with a pioneer.

Our company was founded in Eimeldingen in 1964 by master concrete craftsman, Edelbert Stächelin. His pioneering spirit, hard work and commitment to innovation ensured the business developed on a solid, ongoing basis.

Thanks to continued expansion and ever greater specialisation in the field of natural stone finishing, the company built and moved to new premises in Efringen-Kirchen in 1975. This site boasts spacious workshops and a customer-oriented exhibition space.

Edelbert Stächelin, our founder and guiding philosopher, always enjoyed the active support of his business-minded wife, Anneliese Stächelin. In 1999, Edelbert and Anneliese Stächelin passed on their company and life’s work to their three grown-up children, Uwe, Roland and Yvette Stächelin. The second generation now manages this firmly established family business with the same creativity and high degree of professional commitment the original founders always adhered to.

The Stächelin granite and marble works in Efringen-Kirchen is a 100% family-owned business. It is managed by the descendants of Edelbert Stächelin, the company founder: Managing Director Uwe Stächelin is a sculptor and master stonecutter, Roland Stächelin, a qualified engineer, is the Technical Director, and Yvette Stächelin is Head of Sales.

The company employs 20 highly qualified, extremely motivated people with a keen sense of responsibility. Ongoing training keeps them all in touch with the latest industry developments.

The particular strength of the smoothly functioning Stächelin team lies in the competent, attentive advice and support offered to customers at all stages of their projects – from the design and styling through to the planning and, finally, the ‘turnkey handover’ of a lovingly and perfectly crafted object.
